Today was blah. I'll be honest - I finished up the last blog in my Theory of Structures II computer lab section, when I was supposed to be calculating matrix deformations of truss structures. But I was paying attention to most of it, I swear. I find that I often find a good opening to a blog, such as a memorable news story, or a unique story in particular, but then I have trouble finishing the entry
Currently listening to: Sublime by Sublime. For the first time ever. And right now, I'm asking myself where it has been all my life
So lately the sorority has been dominating a lot of my life. This typically happens at the beginning of each semester, as this is our recruitment, and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm actually enjoying being president of the sorority. There's a lot of things that I have been able to enact and accomplish, and I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't a big part of my life. Every week, I have to make the chapter agenda, and then I get to preside over the chapter meeting, as well as plan events. Yesterday we went out for dinner in UCLA's Westwood, and we got pizza and cookies and ice cream - it was amazing. I had to drive, but it was all right, as everyone was in a good mood from initiating our first double letter class, Alpha Alpha
Yes, the car. 2006 Honda Accord XL, silver, black leather, with GPS and six disc changer. The only thing I don't know is how to put an Ipod adapter into the car, so I am stuck burning cds and listening to them on end. But everyone seems to enjoy my music, so I guess I can suck it up. I'm also very inept at filling gas - I've only filled up gas probably about ten times in my entire life. But no complaints
Work is going pretty swimmingly. The company treats its interns well. I'm having a very valuable learning experience. I need to decorate my cubicle with some USC paraphernalia, maybe some Men's Basketball pictures
Speaking of which, I have been in fact attending all the home games. I've been standing in line almost two hours before game time to secure the good front seats. I love the Men's team! They try so hard. To be honest, though, I think last year's team was a lot better, having a better team chemistry and teamwork. I hope this year has as many memorable events as last year's - storming the court, last second three pointers, Pac 10 tournament, March Madness tournament. Oh baby. Next home game? Versus crosstown UCLA, and we're going with SPD! Wow
By the way, VOTE tomorrow / today! Voting is a democratic privilege that few in the world can enjoy as liberally as we do. If you don't vote, then you don't have the right to complain about the government
